Setup Guide
Everything you'll need to know to create your own self-hosted server.
Deploying Your Software
Once TableOS is finished installing, your system will reboot and display the following welcome screen. Please take note of the version number displayed at the top. If anything goes wrong during the following steps, please open an issue Support Ticket and include this version number in your message. This will help us ensure you're on the latest version and aid in narrowing down any potential problems.

1: Log into your TableOS account
Enter the email address and password of your TableOS account. This authorizes your server to fetch your config(s).

2: Select your server config
If you have more than one server config under your account, you'll be asked to select which one you'd like to deploy. Simply enter the number next to the option of your choosing. If you only have one config under your account, this prompt will be skipped.

3: Confirm selection
Double check that you have selected the correct config. All details including server ID, domain name, and software will be displayed for you to verify. When you're ready, type "yes" or simply "y" without the quotes and hit enter. How long deployment takes depends heavily on how fast your computer is and what software you've chosen to deploy. Your server will reboot when done.

4: Initial Dashboard launch
After rebooting, your server will open Dashboard for the first time. Upon first launch, Dashboard will display your server's newly generated Encryption Passphrase. This is a secure, random string of words and numbers used when creating or restoring backups of your server. Make sure to write this down somewhere safe, as you'll need it to restore a backup in the event of a primary drive failure. You can view it again later or generate a new one through Dashboard.

Port Forwarding
If you want your server to be accessible from the internet, you'll have to open the required ports for your server. If you've decided to go with automatic port forwarding and have already ensured Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) is enabled for your router, you should be all set. If you need help checking this or are planning to port forward manually, please click below for detailed instructions:
