Using Dashboard
Every aspect of the TableOS Dashboard documented in detail.
General Overview
Opening Dashboard:
By default, Dashboard will open automatically as soon as your server boots up. You can also configure your server to require a login first, at which point Dashboard will open after you enter your system login. To open Dashboard from the terminal, you can simply type the command "dash" (lowercase without quotes) and hit enter. If you opted to install a graphical desktop environment on your server, you will also see shortcuts to open Dashboard both on the desktop and pinned to the taskbar. Note that the appearance of Dashboard will vary slightly depending on if you’re running it in terminal-only mode or from a window in a desktop environment.
Background Service:
Some information displayed by Dashboard is provided via the Local Management System (LMS) background service. If some values such as hardware usage statistics aren't updating properly, this service may be experiencing an issue. The easiest way to try and resolve this is to press the F5 Shortcut, which will attempt to restart the LMS background service automatically.
If the restart fails, exit Dashboard to the terminal and enter the command "repair". This will reset the LMS virtual environment and reinstall it. This should only take a few seconds and will not affect your data or your deployed software. Your server will continue to function throughout the whole process.
Updates:
Dashboard automatically check for updates every 24 hours. If it finds any, the Update Screen will be displayed asking if you want to update. You can also initiate an update from the terminal by typing the command "update" (lowercase without quotes) and hitting enter. Installing updates to Dashboard does not interrupt your server’s hosting capabilities.
