Keyboard Shortcuts
Navigation Options
To minimize resource usage and maximize the performance of your server, by default no graphical desktop environment is installed. This means there will be no support for a mouse cursor, and your only source of input will be your keyboard. Listed below are all the shortcuts you can use to navigate and interact with Dashboard. If you opt to install a desktop environment, you can use the mouse to click on buttons and controls as you would in a normal desktop application in addition to these shortcuts.
Navigation Shortcuts
- Tab: Focuses the next input control (button, textbox, etc.)
- Shift+Tab: Focuses the previous input control (button, textbox, etc.)
- Space/Enter: Interacts with the currently focused control (press button, expand/collapse dropdown, etc.)
- Up/Down Arrows: Change highlighted entries in drop-down menus
- Ctrl+Q: Force quits dashboard
Function Shortcuts
These shortcuts are always displayed at the bottom of the screen.
- F1: Opens the Support Screen
- F2: Opens the Update Screen
- F3: Opens the Deployment Screen
- F5: Attempts to restart Dashboard's Background Service
- F6: Opens the Backup Management Screen
- F8: Opens the Matrix User Registration Screen
- F10: Exits Dashboard and returns the user to the Terminal
- F11: Opens a confirmation prompt to reboot the server
- F12: Opens a confirmation prompt to shut down the server
