Using Dashboard

Every aspect of the TableOS Dashboard documented in detail.

Status Panel

This panel displays the current overall status of your server. If it's green, your server should be working. If it's red, there's either an issue with the Caddy webserver, your port forwarding configuration, or your internet connection.

  • External Status: This indicates whether or not your server is reachable over the open internet. Reachable means your server is can be connected to. Unreachable means there's an issue somewhere.

  • Adapter: This is the name of the network adapter traffic is being routed through. This will either be your ethernet adapter or wifi antenna depending on if you’re using a wired connection or not.

  • Domain name: This is the address your server can be reached over the internet, for example, in a web browser.

  • Private IP: This is the IP address of your server on your local area network (LAN). You can type this in to access your server from other devices on your network. This can change from time to time.

  • Public IP: This is the IP address of your server as seen by the external internet. This can change from time to time as well, so its important to use a DDNS or set a static IP for your device in your router's configuration, otherwise people won't know how to reach your server.

  • Refresh: Manually triggers an external reachability status check. Normally one will run once per minute.
